I see it every single week. Someone has a great idea, they get excited, they spend 3 months building it... and nobody buys.

The mistake? Building before validating.

The Trap

It's natural to want to perfect your product before showing it to anyone. But perfectionism is the enemy of progress.

Why It's Dangerous

The Fix

Before building anything, do these three things:

  • Talk to 10 potential customers. Ask them what problems they have, not whether they'd buy your solution.
  • Pre-sell. Create a landing page and see if people will actually pay before you build the full product.
  • Build the minimum. What's the smallest version you can create in one weekend? Start there.
  • The Mindset Shift

Stop thinking like a builder. Start thinking like a scientist. Every business idea is a hypothesis — your job is to test it as cheaply and quickly as possible.

The entrepreneurs who win aren't the ones with the best ideas. They're the ones who validate fastest and iterate relentlessly.
